Getting Started

Logging In

Open the website

Go to booking.rmvhospital.com and click the Patient tab.

Enter your mobile number

Type your 10-digit Indian mobile number (starts 6–9). Click Send OTP.

Enter the 6-digit OTP

Type the code sent to your phone and click Verify & Sign In.

You are in!

Your home dashboard opens with quick action buttons.

Auto Logout The system logs you out after 15 minutes of no activity. Click Stay Logged In when the warning appears.

Book an Appointment

Choose a doctor

Browse the list. Search by name or department. Click Select.

Pick a time slot

Available dates are shown with remaining slots. Click a slot to select it. On-call doctors skip this step.

Enter your details

Type your name, mobile number, and gender. Email and notes are optional.

Done — save your appointment number

A confirmation screen shows your appointment number (e.g. APT-20250317-001). Save it.

On-Call Doctors If a doctor is listed as "On-Call", there is no fixed slot. Reception will call you to confirm the time.

View My Appointments

Go to My Appointments

Click the Appointments tab → click My Appointments.

Search or filter

Search by appointment number, doctor name, or department. Use the status filter dropdown.

Cancel an Appointment

Open My Appointments

Find the appointment you want to cancel.

Click Cancel, then confirm

Click the Cancel button on the card, then click Yes, Cancel. Status changes to Cancelled.

🚫

Cancellation is permanent You cannot undo a cancellation. Book a new appointment if you still need one.

Common Questions

I did not receive an OTP.

Wait 30 seconds and try again. Check your mobile number is correct and you have network signal. Contact hospital reception if the problem continues.

My appointment is still Pending. Is that normal?

Yes. Reception staff reviews and approves bookings. It usually happens within a few hours during working hours.

I want to change my appointment time.

Cancel the current appointment and book a new one with the preferred slot.

I forgot my appointment number.

Go to My Appointments — all your bookings are listed there with their numbers.

Logging In

Open the system

Go to booking.rmvhospital.com. Use the Staff login form (not the Patient tab).

Enter your credentials

Type your username and password given by the admin. Click Sign In.

You see the Reception Dashboard

Quick actions are shown: Pending Approvals, Today's Queue, Quick Book, Doctor Directory.

Pending Approvals

Open Pending Approvals

Click the Reception tab → click Pending Approvals.

Find the appointment

Use the search bar (patient name, appointment number, doctor). Filter by department, date, or session.

Approve or Reject

Each card has a green Approve button and a red Reject button.

On-Call — extra step

A popup appears. Call the doctor first to confirm availability, then select the Date and Session (Morning or Evening). Click Confirm Approval.

Rejecting — add a reason (optional)

A small popup appears. You may type a reason or leave it blank. Click Confirm Reject.

Auto-refresh every 30 seconds New requests appear automatically. Press the Refresh button for an immediate update.

Today's Queue

Open Today's Queue

Click the Reception tab → click Today's Queue.

Find the arriving patient

Search by name or appointment number. Filter by department or session if needed. Each card shows the appointment date and the time the booking was made.

Click Check In

Click the Check In button on the patient's card. This notifies the doctor that the patient has arrived.

Print a token slip (optional)

Click the printer icon 🖨 on the patient's card to open a print-ready A4 slip. The slip shows the token number, appointment details, patient name, and doctor name. Hand it to the patient for the waiting area. The slip fills the top half of an A4 sheet — fold and cut at the dashed line.

Edit a token number (if needed)

Click the token badge on a queue card to edit it inline. Type the new token number and press Enter or click ✓ to save. If another patient already holds that token, the system automatically swaps the two token numbers. Press Escape or click ✕ to cancel.

Stats at the top Four counters: Pending Approval / Today's Queue / Checked In / Completed. Queue auto-refreshes every 15 seconds.

Quick Book

Open Quick Book

Click Reception tab → Quick Book. This single-page form is designed for walk-in, on-call, and WhatsApp booking requests.

Look up the patient by phone

Enter the patient's 10-digit phone number and click Search. If the patient has visited before, their name, gender, and email are auto-filled. If new, fill in the details manually.

Select department, doctor, date, and session

Choose the DepartmentDoctor (filtered by department) → DateSession (Morning / Evening). Select the Booking Source: Walk-in, On-Call, or WhatsApp.

Submit and share details

Click Book Appointment. A confirmation card appears with the appointment number and token number. Share the appointment number with the patient and print a token slip if needed.

💡

Token assigned automatically — every booking through Quick Book (walk-in, on-call, or WhatsApp) gets a sequential token for that doctor's session.

Upcoming Appointments

Open Upcoming Appointments

Click Reception tab → Upcoming Appointments. This shows all confirmed appointments scheduled for future dates.

Browse and filter

Use the search box to find a patient by name or appointment number. Filter by date or department to narrow results. Appointments are sorted by date, then by token number within each session.

Manage appointments

From this view you can cancel an appointment if the patient calls ahead to reschedule. The list updates automatically — no need to refresh manually.

Book for a Patient

Appointments → Book Appointment

Use the top Appointments tab, then click Book Appointment.

Select doctor and slot

Browse or search for the doctor. Click Select. Then choose an available date and time slot.

Enter patient details and confirm

Enter the patient's name, mobile number, and gender. Click Confirm Booking. Note the appointment number shown and share it with the patient.

Common Questions

I accidentally rejected an appointment. Can I undo it?

No. Ask the patient to re-book, or contact the system admin for assistance.

A patient's name is not showing in Today's Queue.

Check the appointment was approved and the date is today. Try searching by appointment number.

What does "On-Call" mean for a doctor?

The doctor does not have fixed slots. Call the doctor first to confirm availability, then assign a date and session when approving.

I was logged out. Did I lose anything?

No data is lost. Log in again and continue — all appointments are saved in the system.

Open Today's Patients

Click My PatientsToday's Patients. All patients for today are listed.

Check the stats at the top

Three counters: Waiting (checked in), In Consultation, and Completed.

Checked In patients are at the top

The queue is automatically sorted by priority. Checked In patients appear first and are ready to be seen.

Auto-refresh every 20 seconds New check-ins appear automatically. Press Refresh for an immediate update.

Running a Consultation

1

Find the patient — status: Checked In

Checked In patients appear at the top of the list, ready to be called in.

Click Start Consultation ▶

Click the Start button on the patient's card. Status changes to In Consultation.

3

Click Complete ✓ when done

Press the Complete button. Status changes to Completed. The patient is done for the day.

Priority order in the queue Checked In → In Consultation → Confirmed → Pending → Completed. Sorted automatically so you always see who needs attention first.

Upcoming Appointments

Click My Patients → Upcoming

All confirmed future appointments are listed, sorted by date (nearest first).

View patient details

Each card shows the patient name, date, session (Morning/Evening), and token number.

Appointment History

Click My Patients → History

Past appointments are listed, newest first. Default shows the last 3 months.

View older records

Click the Show All button at the bottom to load appointments older than 3 months.

Common Questions

A patient is not appearing in my queue.

The patient may not have been checked in by reception yet. Confirmed patients appear in the list but lower down.

I clicked Start by mistake.

The status changes to In Consultation. Simply click Complete to finish, or continue normally when the patient comes in.

My queue is not updating.

Click the Refresh button. The queue auto-updates every 20 seconds. If it still shows old data, press F5 in your browser.

Can I see a patient's previous visit history?

Go to My Patients → History. Click "Show All" to see records older than 3 months.
